[VIDEO] Grilled Cheese and Life Chats

Thoughts from Alanna…

I wasn’t totally sure what to film this week so I asked some people on Adventures and Naps Patreon and they suggested some life-updates! I figured talking about life is always better when food is involved so I made a grilled cheese, too.

Although definitely not fancy, grilled cheese is a go-to food staple in Canada when you’re sick or on a particularly stormy day. It was the perfect reminder of home! But I don’t think us Canadians can claim grilled cheese as our own..

Hope you enjoy hanging out in my kitchen with me!

[VIDEO] English vs Canadian Pronunciation

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I wanted to cover a few more varying pronunciations between Canadian English and actual English!

It’s so interesting that words can be said differently between two countries speaking (essentially) the same language. In the first video we covered words like Pantene, sledging and garage. But there’s even more!

Can you think of more words that I’ve missed? Let me know!

Hope you enjoy Part 2!

[VIDEO] Canadian Tries Canadian Snacks

Thoughts from Alanna…

Since we’ve talked about British junk food and Dutch sweets, why not check out Canadian snacks?? This week I wanted to share some of my favourite Canadian snacks (or at least snacks popular in Canada) that my mum brought over to England for me.

If you ever see these around, or visit Canada, make sure to give them a go!
