This week I wanted to share some of the ways that living in England stress me out! While I love being an expat here in the UK, it’s not perfect. We all know that no country is perfect. But here are the specific things about England that can make life difficult.
Separate taps, anyone??
Are you an expat living in England? Let me know what stresses you out!
Ever need an excuse to eat chocolate? How about doing a taste test? This week I tried a bunch of different Easter chocolates and treats available here in England. But which Easter treat is the best? With Easter quickly approaching, make sure to pick up some of these chocolates before they’re gone!
I probably don’t need to eat chocolate again for along time…
This week I decided to try some British drinks I had seen at supermarkets but hadn’t tasted before. Was it a disaster? Pretty much. After being in England for over three years, it can sometimes be hard to find stuff I haven’t already tasted.
If you know of a British drink I should try, let me know! I’m always on the look-out for new and different things. Just be kind!
This week I tried my hand at taking a British Citizenship Test – but how did I do?
Hint: not very well.
How well did you do? Some Brits either boast that they great wonderful results – or others have majorly failed. It seems like there’s no in-between! This test is part of the British citizenship requirements for those applying to become a UK citizen. It’s brutal!
This week I went to various supermarkets and shops and bought weird British flavoured snacks. Just, weird stuff. One of the things I love about England, and the UK in general, is that there are so many weird and unique snacks, junk food and flavours. So much to try!
Canada does have some weird snacks, just like any country, but there’s something particularly weird about the snacks in the UK.
If you know of a weird flavour I should try, let me know!
