Foreigner tries retro British sweets!

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I wanted to do a taste test of Retro British Sweets! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Do you have a favourite classic sweet that wasn’t included? Let me know! If it’s black liquorice flavour, please don’t let me know. I can’t stand to eat another thing that’s black liquorice.

I bought the box of British sweets from Amazon – plus it was super cheap, so that helps!

Thanks again for Pouch for sponsoring this video. I know watching ads are annoying but it genuinely helps out my channel and I really do think it’s a good service.

Hope you enjoy!!

Foreigner explains North vs South divide in the UK

Thoughts from Alanna

This week I wanted to try to explain the North-South Divide in the UK (but primarily in England) As a Canadian living in the South East of England, I thought it might be an interesting topic to dive into! Wow! Who knew how complex it would be?? Are people already upset in the comments? I can only imagine.

Check out the North-South article I mentioned if you’re interested!

Hope you enjoy!!

My experience using the NHS | Foreigner in England

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I wanted to share my experiences using the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK. Specifically, I’ve been living in England for the past 4 years and here’s how I’ve found the NHS so far.

Thankfully I haven’t needed to use A&E or emergency care, but I’ve certainly gotten help from doctors and nurses in England. Here’s my experiences!

Celebrate New Years Eve like a Brit!

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I share some unique and historical ways the British celebrate New Years! But do British people still celebrate NYE this way?? Also: some ways you can celebrate New Years like a Canadian. Nothing too unique, but I’m sure there’s some that I missed out on.

You can check out the article here: How to celebrate New Years like the British

I hope everyone had a great 2019 and that 2020 is filled with adventures (and naps)!
