Thoughts from Alanna…

After living as an expat in England for the last 3 years, I thought it might be helpful to share what not to do as an expat! Some of these are specific to England, but most can be used for any country – even moving to Canada.

Have you lived in a different country? Let me know some things you think others should avoid doing when they move!

[VIDEO] Weird Words: Daily Life | England vs Canada

Thoughts from Alanna…

Merry Christmas! I took a break this week from filming so enjoy this one (although a bit old) about different words used in England vs Canada!

It’s hard to believe that although we share the same language, we have so many different quirks and word choices between our two countries. Very cool!

This video I wanted to cover words that come up in daily life that differ between Canada and England.

Hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for all your support, comments, thumbs-up and kind words these last few years. It really means a lot! Can’t wait to see where we head to next!

[VIDEO] What I’ve Learned Living in England for Three Years

Thoughts from Alanna…

Today I’ve officially lived in England for three years! Three years!!!

I’ve learned a lot about myself over these past few years and I wanted to share some of that with you. It’s pretty emotional and life is weird but I hope you enjoy this one!

It’s crazy to think back when I first moved here and how overwhelming it was being in a foreign country. Now this place feels as much as home as Canada.

No matter what happens, I’ll always remember this time as some of the best experiences of my life. Thanks for joining me on this crazy ride!
