[VIDEO] Grilled Cheese and Life Chats

Thoughts from Alanna…

I wasn’t totally sure what to film this week so I asked some people on Adventures and Naps Patreon and they suggested some life-updates! I figured talking about life is always better when food is involved so I made a grilled cheese, too.

Although definitely not fancy, grilled cheese is a go-to food staple in Canada when you’re sick or on a particularly stormy day. It was the perfect reminder of home! But I don’t think us Canadians can claim grilled cheese as our own..

Hope you enjoy hanging out in my kitchen with me!

[VIDEO] English vs Canadian Pronunciation

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I wanted to cover a few more varying pronunciations between Canadian English and actual English!

It’s so interesting that words can be said differently between two countries speaking (essentially) the same language. In the first video we covered words like Pantene, sledging and garage. But there’s even more!

Can you think of more words that I’ve missed? Let me know!

Hope you enjoy Part 2!

[VIDEO] Eat This: Canadian Tries Japanese Candy from TokyoTreat

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I received a box of mystery Japanese candy from TokyoTreat! They were kind enough to send me a box to try and it didn’t disappoint! I’ve always wanted to visit Japan (someday) but at least I got to try some of their unique and weird sweets.

You can order your own box here: http://bit.ly/2pkeNsr

[VIDEO] Reverse Culture Shock

Thoughts from Alanna…

I recently visited home back in Canada and experienced some reverse culture shock. After living in Kent, England for the last 2+ years, I forgot some of the weird stuff that makes Canada unique.

It’s weird how you can forget certain things!

Hope you enjoy!

[VIDEO] My Korean Skincare Routine

Thoughts from Alanna…

This week I wanted to try something a little bit different! I’ve been using a new Korean nighttime skincare routine for the last month or two and wanted to report back on how it’s going!

The products are:

Step 1. Wishtrend Green Tea Enzyme Powder Wash
Step 2. Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner
Step 3. Klairs Freshly Juiced Drop
Step 4. (Haven’t used yet) Skinmiso Pore Zero Night Cream

If this one’s is not for you, no worries! I’ll see you back here next week 🙂

Enjoy!
